I can't taste my food

I have allergies and will see a doctor Friday to get tested.Maybe be allergic  to my cat or dust mites or mold or outside ragweed . Just got Medical insurance hope Trump doesn't get rid of it,thats another topic.I can taste very few things pickles yes but bread no. It just started  a couple weeks ago. I'm using Claritan D and Naslcrom to clear my nose.Have to use to sleep at night. Hope it comes back by it self. Went to Web Md some info but can be the sinuses affected. Should eat better like a salad instead of a donut sinc e won't be able to taste either one.

My daughter and I just had this same conversation! She also has terrible allergies.  I've been finding myself eating more spicy foods to get the flavor because otherwise it's not as flavorful.

Wow that is frustrating but hopefully going to the doctor will shed some light on the problem and be able to treat it so you can get back to tasting your food again.  Best of luck with this issue.

i thought i had an allergy problem but turned out it was sinuses --my doctor said sometimes its hard to tell but they put me on meds and i feel much better

I feel your pain since I too have miserable allergies to mold spores in the air, dust, pet dander, ragweed and all sorts of "other" outdoor pollen.  I've had them my entire life and have never really had any kind of "medicine" that gives me relief.  I sure hope you find some.

Doctor thinks i have a sinus infection so gave me antibiotics stong ones.  I can taste somewhat again. Never knew a corndog could taste so good,and hersheys candy yummy. Hope it keeps up. my nose is still stuffed but better.I* use Nasalcrom it works very well.

Can you taste food regularly on a normal day? If it's only allergies, probably it would not be the cat because otherwise you would be sick constantly... it might be certain foods or a seasonal thing?
The best thing is to get tested soon...

I don't have health insurance... sometimes I really think it is extremely important though... because you never know...
