Have You Always Had a Pet?

I'm asking because my mother always has to have a cat. She can't live without any.

Yes! Even after I lose a pet through death, another animal just walk into my house. So, yes, I'll always have  pets!

Of course! Animals enrich one's life tremendously. We have always had pets. When I was a kid we had cats and hamsters and a dog, then more cats, another dog, another hamster, birds, and now even a mouse, haha. I would never even consider living without animals! When I start looking for an apartment, a no pets policy will be an absolute deal breaker!

I have always had pets.  I have pictures of me as a little girl with a cat.  I always had cats growing up, never dogs (my mother was afraid of dogs).  Thankfully her fear didn't pass to me.  I have 6 dogs, and lots of cats!  I love them all, and yes..the cats are strictly indoor cats.

No, my husband and I don't have any pets. Growing up, we had a dog, cats, gerbils, and fish. There was a time when we didn't have any pets. About 13 years ago my dad got a dog and has had it ever since. When my parents go out of town, I'll watch the dog. I love it.

When my husband and I were younger we always had 1,2 even once had 3 cats. Somewhere along the years we quit adopting cats and got 2 dogs. Since those 2 dogs have passed we now only have 1 dog at a time. Pets are quite a bit of work but the rewards from them are great. I love my dog.

Yes !!!!  ever since I was young I have had some kind of pet,,,  a dog,,,  or cat,,,,  or when I was moving around I got my kids some gold fish ( they were easier to move with)  till we got settled and not moving every year.  ( military)

Since I was 2 yrs old.  I currently have 3 male cats, a male dog I adopted last summer and then this Christmas, I was given a female cat that the owner was going to have euthanized for severe allergies.  It's nice to have another female in the house, she's my new shopping buddy.  It's only been a week but I think she is making progress towards getting healthy!!

No, I have not had a pet since I was a child and had a puppy whom I adored. I like dogs but just never got around to acquiring one in my adult years, now I am retired so dwhile I still like them, don't think I want to be bothered with the upkeep of one.
