How Did 2016 Turn Out for You?

I too had a good 2016.  A move and a new contract agreement at work... Taking big strides in my own "in-home" bakery as well.  One kid moved out... began her college career.  Another started his first job.  And my youngest has grown into a better student and avid reader.  2016 has been a blessing this year.  Here's to 2017!

This hasn't been a stellar year with a lot more obstacles and hardships than usual. I'm not complaining too much since I've had worse years than this. Here's hoping 2017 is much better.

No, this is the worst year ever. With all my childhood icons dropping dead in front of me, I feel the shadows of my mortality stocking me & hear the heavy chains the grim ripper's dragging around ready for my demise waiting for my soul to rise which is the ripper's prize! Each time my childhood icons die away, I feel the me that came to be, slowly vanishing as if I was never meant to be.

I'm seeing more and more how awful 2016 was for everyone, and I feel terrible about it.  I don't know why so many people had such a bad experience. Through thinking about my own, I have come to try to find the good... I gained much needed weight and started taking a little better care of myself, which has made me feel much better physically; I had the unbelievable privilege of seeing one of my favorite musical artists in concert; I walked in a Halloween parade through the downtown area, which was the most fun I'd had in a while; I was blessed to make much more money than I had the previous year with my shop and my survey sites; I finally dyed my hair a crazy color which I'd been wanting to do for almost two years (blue!); and we adopted the silliest, sweetest, most mischievous kitten ever. Find the good, guys, any little bit that there is, and may all of next year treat us all much better than 2016 did!!!

Sorry to hear about your stress - I know what you mean but as for myself - I have a roof over my head, plenty to eat and am always able to pay my bills.  The only thing I have to fight is stress over my health problems but I just try to remember that I am still alive and my personal opinion is I won't go anywhere until God is ready and I hope he waits a l-o-n-g time.  Take care all of you.

2016 was great!! Good health, sanity in check, children well and supporting themselves! God is the provider of everything even the things we take for granted.
