How Did 2016 Turn Out for You?

I think 2016 has been a rather horrible year for me. I kept hearing about deaths, and I thought too hard and tightened so many muscles that I fainted too much.

Oh my gosh! If it's any consolation, 2016 wasn't great for me, either. I had to learn to walk again at the start of the year after near fatal internal bleeding in my legs (now am badly scarred--looks like permanent bruising--and have sensitivity and soreness in them). There was a LOT of disturbance at my house, I never fought through my anxiety, depression, and physical issues to find work outside of the home, and I'm very worried about my alcoholic mother. So... I don't know if I should even bother having any expectations for the new year, haha.

We had some health problems in the family, but that's over and all is well. And we also had a death in family.  It always amazes me that no matter what battles we fight, what challenges we have to meet, what hills we have to climb, human beings are resilient. We recover, we bounce back, we keep moving forward.  I admire that.

2016 was actually a pretty good year for me. I accomplished some things I never thought I would. Here's to 2017 being just as good or better.

It turned out extremely enjoyable. Can't complain and I have no regrets. I am grateful for my wife and boys. My family is what kept things smooth. There were some few bumpy roads along the journey but in all a great year!

2016 wasn't a good year. My mom in law passed away. My co-worker's mom passed away. Sometimes work was a lot more stressful than before. Looking forward to a better year in 2017.

My 2016 started off pretty good. In March, I was interviewed for my job, and got hired in April. I moved from New Jersey to Massachusetts to live with my boyfriend, and began a new chapter in my life. The summer months were decent, and Fall wasn't bad either. But right now, boy, I don't even think there are enough words in the dictionary to describe how I feel. The last couple of weeks have been hell for me. Trying to figure out my future, whether or not to go back to school, then getting accepted and having to struggle with taking out student loans. Then my boyfriend almost got laid off, and even though he didn't, he constantly complains about his job. We've been arguing a lot, mainly because I feel as though he doesn't understand me and won't defend me. I don't know what 2017 holds, but I sure hope it gets better than what the end of 2016 is giving me.

Lots of challenges, but in the end I made it through alive & ready to live another day

Despite the hard times, I am grateful for each day.  I look forward to what 2017 will bring.  I pray that each of you have a better 2017 than 2016.

I can honestly say that I had a good 2016. I got a part-time job, with a great, understanding boss who held my job for me when I had to take time off, I was able to buy a newer, reliable vehicle, take vacations to see family, finish my online class and in the process of getting a better, full time time.

I can't wait to see what 2017 holds.
