I think its purely there for entertainment. If you like that sort of thing. I'm not to big on talk shows. But I seen one episode of Maury where they were doing paternity tests and the moms and dads were basically screaming at each other before reading the results. I just cant see that being true, why would you want your business leaked out there for the entire world to see. I believe its just another trash t.v. show.

Maury is totally a trashy TV show, and I'm pretty sure most of it is staged.
But, that's the entertainment that makes the money!

It does give me a good laugh once in a while though:)

How does anybody get caught up in shows like this?  Its only entertainment with people who doesn't mind being embarrassed and humiliated before millions of people who watch this mess.

This is one of the reasons why I do not like these shows.  Why do people want to listen and watch people screaming at each other?  I would think it just adds extra stress when you surround yourself with that sort of thing.  We all have our own problems and amounts of stress to begin with.  I would rather watch something pleasant and relaxing.  I agree this is all done for the sake of "entertainment" and ratings.

i know there are girls that do act like that, but im sure the producers of the show tell them to act more out of control then they really are. i hate muary, his show is like puking on a pile of *bleep*........yeah if u puked on a pile of *bleep* u would have the maury show

 I'm sure they are probably still out of control when they leave.  One hour with a non professional won't help any kids like that bad.  That takes a lot of time to undo what has been going on probably snce they were little.
