I have always wanted to go there. We have talked about taking a cruise to the Bahamas, but I am afraid I will be sea sick the whole time.

We made a trip to Freeport in the Bahamas and spent a few days mingling with the residents there. We rode the dollar bus or walked, visited the downtown shopping area and talked to a lot of everyday normal folks. I think that is a lot more fun than the activities a tourist normally takes in.

Just go. You will not get seasick on a cruise. I can almost guarantee it.

You won't even know you're on the water unless you're topside.  :clover:

I would love to go on a cruise, but my husband will not go on one.  I hope to go to a Caribbean area without taking a cruise.  I want to snorkle in a coral reef.  I would like to mingle with the locals like oldbuddy did.

We stayed in Paradise Island. Walked around the island, went snorkeling and took a taxi into Nassau one day. It was a truly unforgettable trip.
