I'm still trying to wrap my head around the entire thing. It's just to surreal.

If only this were true, but I am afraid the media was so embarrassed from all their phony poll results, they are going to be doing their best to discredit Trump every chance the get for years to come.
Don't you think they would be doing this even if their poll results had not been off?

Haven't been watching the news lately.  Tired of hearing all the negative news.  Let's give him a chance and see what he does.

I guess Donald Trump is only winning because many Americans don't want a female president yet.
I was surprised at a lot of people who made the comment that a "woman" could not run a country, so they voted for the other candidate.  They were elderly and Christian extremists.  I was really shocked that people i this day ad age thought that.
I don't know where you saw those comments. I know a LOT of people who voted for Trump (including many that could be called "extremists"), and it wasn't mentioned once that they didn't think any woman could run the country. Opposition to Hildabeast wasn't because she was a woman, but because she was an evil woman.
Trump's win is the result of many Americans being totally fed up with the establishment. He's an unknown factor, and after putting up with all the establishment b.s. on both sides for so long, people are willing to take a chance with the unknown, rather than suffering through more of the same. Obviously we are more likely to get some real change from an outsider. I am relieved that Trump won, since I really thought he didn't have a chance, and while I generally don't believe any campaign promises from any candidate, I'm willing to give him a chance.

This was a highly emotional election for a lot of people.  Lord knows that the Donald has had his share of temper tantrums so maybe it's okay for the American people to have theirs.

I didn't vote for Trump but I'm willing to give him a chance.  Let's pull ourselves together and see whether or not he can do some good.  If he can do some good for Veterans and offer a better healthcare plan than Obamacare I could probably develop some respect for him.

Have a great day!

We were discussing this last night and I came to the conclusion that the Democrats have not suffered a loss in so long, they don't KNOW HOW! Some of those whe were rioting in the streets have NEVER been aware of anything but a Democrat president.

I agree with that. Today, on the political board of my former profession, they were talking about a petition going around to cancel the electoral votes and force them to enter their votes for Hillary. How ridiculous! Such sore losers! They evidently don't know how the electoral college works or else they'd stop the stupidity.

The rioting and destruction of property by throwing molotov cocktails and burning the flag is insulting to every veteran who fought for this country. Some protesters are at home in their room rolled up in a fetal position crying because the world is going to end.

I blame a lot of this on the media, the hatred by certain people in congress and even Hillary when she called half the Trump supporters deplorables. Is this a way to act? Trump wasn't much better with his name-calling but I don't think he put the fear of the world ending into the kids like the other side did. Some protesters even called for the assassination of Trump before he even gets in office and over 200 people were arrested last night. How many tonight? The man that was beat up in Chicago because of a bumper sticker is horrendous. Is this the kind of country they wanted? I hope they find those men and throw the book at them.

it's not about having a woman president.
it's about not wanting this woman, hillary clinton, for the president.
Americans know that they would get 4 more years of Obama politics and they want real change.
Trump is smart. he'll point this country in the right direction and clean up the mess that's been left behind.

Hi,
I must confess I did not think the election would be so very contentious and divisive.  I hope the country can unite and heal..

I was sick of it months ago, will just sit back and see what happens like I do every election.  We can't change anything, but they need to go with the popular vote wins it and that way everyone will feel their vote counts.

I am sick of the young people rioting over the outcome.Don't they have jobs?

Yeah. Some of them get paid to protest. Depending on the group hiring them, they can get anywhere from $15-$30 an hour. On a political site I frequent, a poster said that Craig's List has help wanted ads. Don't know how true it is because I don't go on Craig's List.
