I really have no traditions any more since my mom moved. I still put a tree at Christmas however what are  some traditions for thanks giving.

Since my husbands mom passed years ago we don't go all out for Thanksgiving like we used to. We usually just have a low key family dinner & watch football.

We cook, eat, watch movies, play games, do a talent show, give what I'm thankful for speeches, and set up the Christmas tree.

Our biggest tradition is Thanksgiving Dinner. My husband works on a military air base where there are lots of single guys, and many of those don't have families close by, so we have an open house for anyone who wants to come get some dinner. They don't have to stay and socialise if they don't want to, they can just grab dinner and go, of they can stay and chat for a while. I bought a huge 22 pound turkey and will be having mash potato with bacon and garlic, gravy, green bean casserole. I  do love a big feast!

We don't have a standard holiday tradition.  We change it up all the time.

Thanksgiving this year will be in the hospital this year, as my daughter is having a knee replacement.

A few years back, she was in the hospital over Christmas.

Hope this is the last time.

Our family traditionally meets up for a big meal on the day after Thanksgiving. This is so that everyone who has to go to their spouse's family on Thanksgiving Day can still meet up with our family too. My daughter usually does all the cooking and I do the dishes with her husband. It's always a blast.

Our parents have passed away but we still have a thanksgiving dinner with all the brothers, sisters, and grandchildren. Each family brings something to share and we always have plenty to eat and okay sometimes a little drama.

We all used to get together at my parents house. But the last few years everyone has decided to have their own Thanksgiving at their own house, so my husband and I take my parents and we go to my son and his wifes house for the day.

I put up my Christmas tree 2-3 days before Thanksgiving, I always have. That way the house it more festive when my family comes over for Thanksgiving Dinner

We don't really have any traditions either. Since we moved 3 years ago we started going over to my aunt's. Sometimes they go and visit other relatives so we'll have our Thanksgiving dinner before the actual day. Around our house there's mostly just football going on.

This is the 1st year without my Mom, so I don't what we will do for Thanksgiving.

I grew up with the tradition of having a houseful of "hell" served up every single holiday,  so since that part of my life is OVER... (by choice), I have peaceful holidays at home with my closest loved ones.  Thanksgiving traditions include reflecting on the years blessings, prayer, a cozy homemade holiday meal, and watching a few Christmas movies later on (National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation has become a yearly tradition).
