internet really slow

I am guessing the the internet is really slow today not unless it is FC or the video that they have this time ( AV club ) my system is super slow. I have had a few messages so far up by my address bar ( google chrome not responding ).

I'm thinking it's the av club video everything else today has running fine I come bake to FC and start to watch the hypermx videos again and everything slows down.

I am finding out that A.V.club does not like chrome it is running better for me in Firefox

I think something wrong with the site.  Maybe it's updating.

You can check your internet speed in speedtest.net. If your ping is higher than 70ms, then it is most likely an issue with connectivity. Because if it takes that long for your devices to communicate to other locations, then there will be some delay on receiving or sending data. If it is regular issue you might need to call your ISP tech to check if there is any interference on getting a signal. Back then (after 4 tech guys), the reason why I had high ping was because the cable going to the cable box was old/bad. In speedtest, if your download and upload is low it is most likely your ISP is taking a hit from a service outage. If that is the case, I guess you have to wait til they fix things in their end

Other then that it sounds like your computer is outdated. Since you don't have a lot of tabs open, I assume that the amount of ram you have is sufficient. Having not enough ram could make your browser unresponsive. Slow systems usually mean that your cpu cant handle the tasks your giving it (without considering if you have a virus/malware, computer system isn't cleaned, or the fans in the computer are blocked by dust and the electronic components are not cooled properly). I think that low/mid end intel pentiums and i3 cpus are slow. I help my mom with her computer problems and using her laptop with a intel pentium was so sluggish. The same goes to the laptop I use to have with a i3. For me, any computer that doesn't have a i5 or i7 (or equivalent cpu if ur using amd) can be sluggish.

Thanks for the update, will sleep better knowing I have cable modem, not sure what you have but glad I don't.

Mine seems to be slower than normal also, loading the ads takes longer.

Not sure if it is the Internet or my computer.  Yes, it is slow.
