« on: October 27, 2007, 09:49:16 am »
I'M DEBATING ON WHETHER TO GET A PAYPAL ACCOUNT OR OBOPAY CARD....

SOMEONE ALSO REFERRED THE NETSPEND CARD TO ME ALSO...

SO I KNOW IT'S LIKE A PENNY OR SOMETHING TO USE THE OBOPAY CARD, SOMEONE FILLED ME IN ON THE FEES...BUT WHY DOES IT WANT YOUR CELL #?  I KNOW A LOT OF YOU HAVE THIS...FILL ME IN....ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN CHARGES ON YOUR CELL OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT?

No charges to your cell at all.  They ask for it so they can verify your number and they text you once your account is set up, plus they text you when any of your referrals complete the offer (they deposit $5 onto your card for every referral!!)

Rose..
I got an email from them this is what they said...
Thank you for completing your recent Citi Obopay account sign-up.

We are sorry to inform you that your Citi Obopay Prepaid MasterCard® will be
arriving later than anticipated due to the high volume of new member sign-ups.

We apologize for the inconvenience. You should receive your card the week of
November 5th, 2007. For security reasons, your card will arrive in a plain envelope,
so be sure to keep an eye out for it. After your card arrives, simply call the toll-free
number located on the sticker on the front of your card to activate it.

So I guess we have to wait!  :dontknow:

Here is another tip.  You can sign up for Obopay and not sign up for the card.  Obopay is geared towards you using your cell phone as a money transfer point.  The debit card offered by Obopay is in addition to their primary product.  Hope that helps.  ;D

I requested the card just to complete offers on this site, considering I'm not comfortable with using my credit card online. I will keep only enough money in there for the offers I complete.. I guess some of us are more paranoid than others LOL
