What song get’s you up and going in the morning?

Sometimes I'm in more of a country music mood when I wake up and my favorite is always Hard Lovin' woman by Mark Collie.

I actually have a morning playlist and the song that always kicks it off is Roar by Katy Perry.

I'm into country Music and the song that always gets me pumped or in a good mood no matter what time of day is Reckless by Alabama.  I mean the first line alone, 'Let's roll the windows down, turn the radio up, and let the wind blow through our hair,' will get anyone psyched about facing the day even if they don't really listen to this kind of music.

I love little Richard.  I grew up listening to pop music from the '60's because that's what my parents listened to.  Some of them (like with all genres) I just don't care for, but Little Richard, especially Good Golly, Miss Molly, just makes me want to get up and dance around.  When I play that against Jerry Lee Lewis' 'Great *bleep* of Fire' yes, I am definitely ready to face the day.

I love people like Billy Joel, Bruce 'the Boss' Sprinsteen, Van Morrison, and John Mellencamp but I have to say the song that always gets me up and going is Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams.

Every school morning after I drop off my oldest daughter at her school my youngest daughter & I blast Taylor Swift's song- Shake it off. My youngest daughter loves this song and got me hooked on it. We sing along to it & I always catch her smiling so I know it makes her mornings as well as mine just sharing a fun, silly & relaxing moment with my daughter before she starts her day.

I usually don't listen to music first thing in the morning. I like everything to be quiet...I open the blinds and sit at the table drinking a cup of tea while I plan out the day in silence.
