special trips
« on: October 10, 2016, 07:01:45 am »
a neighbor of mine just returned from a camping trip.
her extended family all met at a nice campgrounds in Ohio.
she said there were cabins that they rented.
the weather was nice.
I have good memories of a family owned cabin up in Wisconsin.
I have also been on camping trips in Tennessee ....even in Poland.
outdoors     fresh air         back to basics.

We used to go to Cumberland Falls in KY quite often when I was growing up.  We would stay in the cabins.  Cumberland Falls is one of the two places in the world that you can see a Moonbow during a full moon.
Have a wonderful day!

In the 1990's we were able to take our kids camping all over the world by packing our tents, sleeping bags, etc. and taking them on the plane with us, which is no longer possible. We camped in Australia and all over Canada and Alaska that way. What good times we had. The trips make for good memories.

It has been years since I have been camping, but I have lived in Ohio my entire life and there are many many wonderful places here to go camping!  There are a lot of great places up by Lake Erie which are nice, but the rolling hills in the southern part of the state are where the real Ohio campsite treasures are at.  Especially in the fall when the leaves are changing!

It's a long time since going to any camping trip.

My father was Park Manager at Blue Rock State Park in Ohio the entire time I was growing up. We lived in the State Park. I have such fond memories there.
