How much homework help do you give your kids?

Sometimes I question whether I give too much help to my kids regarding their homework. I know some parents do not give any help at all, and I guess the hope there is the kids will learn to take responsibility themselves. I don't disagree with this. However I check both my kids math papers each day and if there are any errors, I ask them to do it again. If it is still wrong, and they can't work out how to do it, I will demonstrate how to find the answer. Do you think I am giving too much help?

I do not think you are giving too much help, I think you are being a good parent. Kids should not be completely lost when it come to homework because they were in school all day, but if they made a mistake on a problem, parents should be there to help.

I don't give homework out to my kids, but I'll help them with the work at school.  Sometime just give them activities to do for a pleasure, but help them to learn.

Some but not all I like to watch my daughter grow an try to work on it if she struggling then I help more until she gets it

I help when my daughter needs assistance.  My 7 year old doesn't have homework.  I homeschool her.

No you are not giving too much help.. a lot of parents don't even have the time to sit and check on their kid's homework.. you take the time, you show them what to do.. you spend quality time trying to help and teach them... that is awesome and your kids are simply lucky!

I do not have kids but I do have 3 little nieces and 1 niece in college that ask for help from time to time.

I helped my mine as much as I could when they were younger but once they got into high school it was much harder since I didn't remember or never heard of some the things that they were working on.

When they were small a lot, but once they were like in 5th and up not that much.
