Buy Nothing Group

Last year i joined teh buy nothing group on face book. it is part of a buy nothing project people offer items for free or if your in need you can ask for items. it has been a huge sucess with over 700 members in our group.   if you have not checked it out you should do so.,,

There used to be a national group on yahoo... still exists, sort of, called Freecycle.   
It started to rehoming items to keep them out of trash dumps.  Then the person who started it wanted to get paid, so people took over all the local groups, and the person started Trash Nothing.

Freecycle is still a good group to belong to, you can ask for wanted items, as well as post to get rid of usable stuff.

We used Freecycle years ago when we had first moved into our house. We actually received a really great daybed for our youngest daughter. I haven't thought of that site in forever since Facebook has free sites to get rid of your unwanted items.

I always forget about freecycle, but I so like the idea. Will check it out again.

I never heard of that Facebook group; I'll go check it out. I do subscribe to Freecycle, although there hasn't been much activity in a while.
