To fellow users of Qmee
« on: September 07, 2016, 04:06:56 pm »
Hi friends!,

I know this might sound like a silly question but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Last night I joined Qmee which seems like a site that will give me some extra pocket change but I'm concerned that having it run on my computer might be a security risk when I log onto my paypal account or do banking online. Am I right to worry? should I disable the add on or just use another browser? or am I just being overly cautious?  ???

I've never heard of Qmee.
They probably have people reviewing it on Reddit, I would check there.

I've been using Qmee since December of 2014.  I haven't noticed any negative issues as a result of using it (none that I am obviously aware of anyway).

@UGetPaid: Thanks for chiming in, I guess I'll continue to be cautious until I know for sure if the add on is tracking my activity etc. I never hurts to be careful!

I've had Qmee for more than a year.  No problems.  While it's not a major earner it is a nice little way to earn a few cents.  There are also surveys now with Qmee.   Did a couple of them.   I don't have any issues with my computer due to Qmee.

Qmee is a web browser add on.  It tracks things you search for on Google and Bing, etc.  It may throw up suggested sites in a side bar when you perform a specific search -- often times one or more of the Qmee sponsored results will pay you a few cents to click on their site link.
