What's the best way to curb your temper? Any suggestion
« on: September 03, 2009, 07:12:12 am »
I get so angry when people do really dum things to me and I treat everyone with great respect, but in return they end up feel they have the right to disrespect me. Maybe I wrong for the way I feel but, I don't believe people should be so cruel.   :BangHead:

I know that it sounds really cliche but try counting to ten backwards... forwards whatever beat up your pillow... go somewhere where you can just belt out the loudest scream imaginable... call someone and vent these are the things that I do.

Yup -it's a bummer - sadly we can only control our responses - suggestion..change your facial expression or throw your hands in the air - try this..seriously ..

Now put a big grin on your face..tilt your headback with the big grin on your face look at the sky and/or ceiling and put your hands in the air over your head..now

WITHOUT changing your body in anyway..get mad...keep the grin, keep arms up..lol cannot do it huh? changing your habitual reactions to anger or sadness - can pop you right out!  hope that helps ya

Cold showers are nice. I can show you how to do a real cold show, but I can't because it contains a referral link.

i hold it in and as a result of lost the ability to feel, lol... guess it isnt that funny, but it is sort of true... i think it is best to be rational in any conflict, but i tend to just keep it all inside... probably will die of a stroke by 35... :-

Take a deep breath and count to ten. Sometimes the best thing to do is to just blow it off. They are not worth your time or effort if they cannot respect the person you are.

I just try to remember some happy moments/events so I won't waste my time being angry with whatever stupid people do to me. Imagining my sons face always work for me.

Meditate!  :) You have to learn to let go of this attachment which is anger. If we are still attached to this emotion, we will always be hurting ourselves. No matter how good we are, we will always be faced with someone who mistreat us in some way. That is life. If everyone was so perfect, then we wouldn't be here to learn our lessons.  :angel11:

count to 10. Focus on what is important...let is pass...remember life is temporary, dont waste it on the negative.

Easier said than done, I know!

Talk time for yourself. Scream into a pillow. Get a massage. Just relax. Such as turn on the TV. Listen to music. Maybe talk out your problem to a friend or family member. All these help me. Remember we all have bad days at times. Nobody is perferct.

Turn your bad times into something postive thinking. Such as talk a walk, and listen to music at the same time. Ease the problem slowly.

Take care of yourself is the most important suggestion ,  I can give you. If you can not take care of yourself or have low self worth. Then it is hard to take care and persure life goals.

Enjoy life!!!

I get upset on here, when I do things I dont get credited for, I just have to walk away, and think about something else for a while, or when my bill doesn't get posted and I know I have paid it, even have the receit for it, it makes me mad, I think I will go and watch a movie, and think about the power of forgiveness, If the Lord can forgive all of us, we can forgive each other.
