Do You Still Listen to Vinyl LP Records?
« on: September 01, 2016, 12:38:17 pm »
I haven't for a really long time. Their skipping disturbs me, and you can't shuffle the tracks or resume anywhere on the records. I think they're called records because they were the first devices anyone could record with (and therefore hold memories).

I don't really see the appeal of using Vinyl anymore. CDs are much more reliable. I guess it's just the nostalgia. :glasses-nerdy:

I sold last one very long time ago. My first 45 was a song titled Sugar, Sugar and now that song is my ringtone.

Some of them, if they are high quality, sound better, much better than the Internet music.

Not to date myself,  LOL but I love playing my Vinyls and my 45's.  Wow 45's?  Yeah 45's.  I love listening to old school music.  It tells a story without being vulgar.

Oh  yes I do.  I will admit the quality on CD's is much better but listening to a vinyl album stirs something in me.  Love them.

Actually *I* have your really large collection and just bought a $35 record player several months ago to listen to them and convert them to computer audio files.  The biggest problem with that task is finding the time it takes to convert them each individually and how to handle it when the old vinyl starts to skip... :o

I have many LPs that I would listen to but sadly I don't have a player for them.

Since I no longer have anything to play the vinyl records on, no I don't listen to them anymore.  However, I still have my huge collection of albums and 45's from when I was a teenager and I won't part with them, LOL.
