Does anyone here watch Stranger Things on Netflix?

I apologize if there's already a thread for this, but I did a search and didn't find one. I'm SO excited that they've announced season 2! So I'm curious if any of you have been watching.

Also, hi! I'm kinda new to the forums (been on FC since the end of June).

My GF and I devoured the show! I saw it being advertised on Netflix, and having finished the last series that I was going through, I decided to try an episode to see whether I'd like it. But it wasn't enough.... After I finished binging on the first 3 episodes, I thought I'd see if my GF liked it as much as I did. I think it took less than a week for us to go through the season, usually watching multiple episodes each night. I was slightly disappointed that the season was rather short (8 episodes), so it was great news to hear that it'll be picked up for at least one more season (and probably more, considering all of the positive stuff I've been hearing about it). Considering that I also read Ready Player One, this summer has been a blast into the past of the 80's.

Loved season one on Netflix I binged the show in one day. I actually got my husband to watch it half way through and he enjoyed it as well. Ready for season 2 for sure!

What's been interesting lately has been watching all of the fan videos on YouTube. Some people have analyzed the series in great detail, showing the different iconic 80's pop-culture that the series drew inspiration from.... The similarities between Eleven and ET, the group of kids in the series vs in Goonies, the title font being the same as many Steven King novels, even the heavily synth'ed music. I even found it interesting that some minute details are done with a purpose... For example, since the season takes place in 1983, Winona Ryder wanted her character's hair-style to resemble Meryl Streep's hair from her 1983 film Silkwood.

I looked up the show and watched it, I did like it, funny how they thought Winona  (Joyce) was crazy but she was right about her son.
