Simone Biles
« on: August 13, 2016, 06:02:17 pm »
Simone Biles is AMAZING!!!  :) I have loved watching her compete in every event. I'm so happy Team USA won the team competition and she was so brilliant in the all around. I just knew she would get the Gold...and she did.
Gymnastic event finals start Sunday, August 14th and I'll be cheering her on.

What did you think of Simone Biles performance?

PS: If you don't follow the Olympics here is a great profile on her...http://www.nbcolympics.com/news/who-simone-biles

Simone is a 4'8" gymnast for Team USA who has something special going for her.  She won the Gold for the women's individual all-around final -- simply dazzling in her discipline and performance and has a huge smile to go with it.  You just can't take your eyes off of a performance like she gave Thursday night.  She has what they call "air sense" -- that is she knows where she is when she catapults into flips and twists, then lands on the ground.

Simone captured her 4th gold medal with the women's floor exercise final today making her the first American woman to win four gymnastics gold medals in a single Olympic Games.  Teammate Aly Raisman finished with a silver for a medal sweep in the floor exercise event.  With a wrap up of the gymnastics events, the team is ready to celebrate

Simone Biles is a rags to riches story so to speak.  She is an amazing athlete and an inspiration for many.  All the hype around Biles is great... in the mean time Douglas is having a rough patch with criticism.  I love the sport of gymnastics.  I was a gymnast as a child...a coach as an adult and a forever fan.  My knees are certainly paying for it now though!

I so enjoyed watching her,  she is quite the little performer . And she earned every one of those golds. What an inspirtation to the young girls, That they too can do great things just by applying themselves.

I loved watching that little gal, she has so much spunk and drive. If i should even think about doing some of the stuff she did i would probably hurt my self real, real bad if i didn't flat out kill myself. She is going places and fast.

She was really good in her events.  NBC showed them late at night for ratings but I looked at it online as it was happening, didn't have the audio or commentary but was still good.
