Advertising Study
« on: August 11, 2016, 06:56:07 am »
I hope this is not a sign of things to come... I just did an Advertising Study for a 35¢ payout. I didn't know it before I clicked on the link, but that this was the same survey format that many have expressed positive reactions to in the past -- the one where you watch several TV commercials and then rate your reaction to various questions using the numbered slider bar.  It is a survey that you almost never get DQed and is very easy to complete for a payout -- but the payout always was 75¢ before -- not 35¢.

Congrats on getting through a survey.  I notice that 4 years ago simple surveys were going for 1 and 1.25 .  Inflation I guess or more people joining to do them so we get paid less.   I am happy just to get through one now and complete.

I still get 75 cents from those surveys every time. I've been on other survey sites that only give out like 30 cents though. Those are super easy... I click them first if I see them pop up.

This type of advertising survey has been on FC many years but it has changed in how many ads you need to watch and what the payout is.  It once paid 75 cents but that was a long time ago. It has been paying 35 cents for many months if not over a year.

All my sites are demanding more for less rewards.  Sign of the times.

I was just glad to get the survey, complete it and get credit for it.   :)

bostonphil, I wonder if it is tied to demographics or a user's past history in the number of times they've responded to the same survey model...  I've only BEEN on FC for 13 months an I have taken this type of survey a few dozen times (as recently as a few weeks ago) and have always been offered/paid the 75¢ amount until the one I clicked on today.

Interesting.... Bostonphil, what was number of ads before??  As you know, we see 6 and you have to move quickly because it will time out on you (I type fast, but am too wordy; had to shorten response).  I've also lost connection at the halfway point using standalone PC (always breaks after 3rd ad runs) so I'm bummed if that happens.  :sad1:

I didn't see one today?  Do either of you know if these ads roll out by season, like pre-fall now?  :moon:  Or constantly?

I actually just finished one. I had the usual 6 videos and got the $0.75 credit. I do one every week or so (last one on this site was 8/2), and it's always been the same for me.

So this is crazy.  I just completed another one of these same surveys late last night.  It only had TWO commercials to watch and evaluate and it paid the full 75¢.  So who knows if there is a rhyme or reason to it all?

I think it is the advertisers who decide the amount to be paid. whenever we do surveys, the companies pay the survey providers in turn pay us. if they don't get  paid, we don't get paid.

The survey "industry" is dying.... I go to OneOpinion every day and they pay $1-2 every survey. I just with I could cashout to Paypal instead of the $25 VISA card, but hey, both are still money.
