I submitted a task ticket.
« on: August 01, 2016, 02:40:34 pm »
I've read threads in this forum where people reported that they had had good luck with submitting tickets to Crowdflower.  So, I just submitted a ticket for the first time.  I took a study/survey that took a little over twenty minutes.  It involved reading scenarios, and answering questions and writing thoughts about what I read.  I took my time and tried to answer thoughtfully and thoroughly.  At the end, I was greeted with a thank you for completing the study and was given a validation code.   When I tried to put the code into the appropriate code box, it wouldn't accept the code.  In the meantime, while I was trying to submit the code over and over again, the timer ran out.  I can't imagine having done anything wrong during the survey, so I took some screen shots and submitted a ticket.  Fingers crossed!

Usually with those, as long as you have a screenshot of the end page (I do this for any survey btw) and you still know the verification code, you should be good. Just don't ever try to get your stats cleared on tasks you got a low score on...that is harder then getting into the Kremlin

That happened to me once where the code wouldn't work. Tried submitting it multiple times too. Put in a support ticket and was credited within a few days. I'm not sure why they would give you a code that doesn't work. Hopefully, you have the same success and get your credit soon.

One extremely important factor, is to make absolutely sure there are NO SPACES before or after the code. This is a common problem anywhere you need to enter data accurately for an online form of any kind.

You did the right thing!  I'm one of the people that will submit tickets to Crowd Flower when there is a problem and I can attest that they WILL pay you for your efforts, especially when you're very clear and send in screen shots of your problem.  Lately, it seems they're taking a bit longer to reply to those tickets (you'll get an email from them), but they will get around to it.  Hope it all works out for you, and good luck!!!

I did a task earlier and there were actually two different codes on the page. I tried the one at the top of the page because that's what made sense but the task page wouldn't take it. I then noticed there was another more unique code at the very bottom and that's the one they wanted.

Crowdflower has always been good about getting back to you quickly and usually with back credit.  The only thing is that I now can't do the higher level tasks because I apparently two flags from things I did in 2014

I find it highly interesting that I either complete the Crowdflower tasks with 100% accuracy consistently  :glasses-nerdy:, or I'm booted out of tasks out with the lovely message that my accuracy is too low.  >:( That, by golly, hurts my feelings.  :'(

Don't take it personal, it's just a computer making those statements. I have learned to be very picky and if the task starts feeling ambiguous, I Give Up and find another one.
