What Do You Think of the Month of August?

August is always hot and very humid in my neck of the woods.

I have read in a discussion here that some people enjoy the month of August. I hate August. Why? Because I grew up having to go back to school in that month, and that seemed depressing because I hadn't been studying for so long, and I didn't know what to do to control my stress. Some people hate August for that same reason. Others hate it because the month is so hot or because there are no holidays to celebrate in the USA except birthdays. How do you feel about August and why?

I'm famous to attempting to cancel the month of August because I'm not a summer person and August is too warm for me. I've never quite figured out how to cancel this month.

This year I have central air and we've had a few August rain storms so I'm happier than I usually am.  I can deal with it as long as the heat doesn't "roll over" into September.

August really signals the end of the summer. Unfortunately fall is right around the corner.

i don't really have a preference but i really enjoy june and it's not just because it is my birthday month. some of my cousins were born in august so i have a lot of birthday parties to go to which i am looking forward to. it's always exciting.

August means summers almost over and kids are headed back to school.

August is one of my most favorite months because it is usually still hot and sunny in the daytime so I don't have to put on a coat or boots or mittens or scarves and our local farmers market still has corn and lots of great fruits and veggies to eat.
