What Do You Think of the Month of August?

I have read in a discussion here that some people enjoy the month of August. I hate August. Why? Because I grew up having to go back to school in that month, and that seemed depressing because I hadn't been studying for so long, and I didn't know what to do to control my stress. Some people hate August for that same reason. Others hate it because the month is so hot or because there are no holidays to celebrate in the USA except birthdays. How do you feel about August and why?

Autumn is around the corner and my mood is happier then, so August gets me pumped up.

   August is usually the hottest month of year...anywhere you go. Year 2016 will be gone soon.

August is still the month that school starts in. Over here it starts on the 16th, and that's the end of my vacation and back to work. Won't say I hate August but it is a trying month for me.

Yeah school starts mid August and hubby goes back to work. It is hard with him home all summer underfoot. I don't know how i will handle it when he retires this year. He is now only going to teach in high school and not grade or mid.  Which means he will be home a lot.

I don't really like it or not like it.  Other than it being way too hot, I don't think of it as any better or worse than any other month

Actually, I liked school.  Also, that is long ago for me.  I don't even have children in school anymore.  I rather like August.  It is sometimes quite hot here in Michigan but can also be a month of cooler temps.  It is difficult to say in this state.  It also stays light late into the evening yet in August.  So...overall, I like August because I detest winter.

August is the month when the kids get ready to return to school.  Shopping for new clothes, shoes, and books can be a hassle.

That's no longer true for public schools or the UW in Madison, WI. School now starts in September for those schools because summer jobs often last up to Labor Day.

August is okay by me because I know fall is coming around the corner and that means my birthday is approaching so I'm happy.

August is ok and usually very hot but I prefer heat to cold weather.  I don't complain just deal with it.
