Good Question!
« on: July 14, 2016, 01:48:04 pm »
Let's say your on a deserted island with only water surrounding you, a small hut to live in and a small box of supplies, containing water, fruit, meat and a few veggies. The question is how could you survive on a months worth of food? Knowing you have no radio, cell phone reception or a way to contact the outside world.

what would you do?

Take some of the vegetables and see if they have any plantable seeds and suitable soil on the island to grow a garden.

I would learn how to prepare different meals with the listed items. I would enjoy the weather and also find a way to to play some kind of game, get some sleep and mark off the days.

I'd try fishing...weave a net, sharpen a bone on a rock for a hook.  Collect dew on palm leaves.  There's always something to try.

Will I be there longer than a month? If it were only for a month, I could make it on little food and water.  :-\

If you mean indefinitely, perhaps I would hope and pray that I would be rescued.  :highfive:

Maybe I would just die there. Seems as good a place as any.  :rainbow:

I think you are out of luck! Better head for the beach and try to make a big sign: HELP! on the ground using twigs. Building a raft will be useless because you have no maps.

I would try to ration what I had available to me - can't imagine being successful at it but would try to fish if I could figure out how and try to find fruit tree's or whatever might be available on the island to eat.  AND pray for rescue ALOT.
