Incredible 2-Ingredient Ice Cream
« on: July 04, 2016, 09:04:42 pm »
I stumbled across a recipe for homemade ice cream using only two ingredients. All you need is heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk. These are your base ingredients. You whip the cream until it forms peaks. Then you just stir in the milk. Then you can add in any ingredients that you wish. The best part is you don't need an ice cream machine to make it. I just made some homemade caramel sauce and added that in. Then, I put the mixture in an airtight container and popped it in the freezer for at least six hours, but I took it out probably after four. It is so creamy and good, I could've eaten the whole container. I'm thinking about making some more with another flavor like cake batter or cinnamon bun.
Has anyone tried this method before? What are some flavors you wish you could try?

sounds interesting.
quietpal how much of each ingredient do you need?
I might try making a small amount. I like to try adding raspberries, chocolate or peanut butter. :rose: :rainbow:

This sounds really tasty. How much of the whipped cream and condensed milk did you use? I'd like to try this myself. I'd like to add nuts, pieces of chocolate and maybe a little peanut butter too.

I use one 14-oz. can of condensed milk and a pint (16 oz.) of heavy cream.

That's awesome, I happen to have just a bit of whipping cream left over and a can of condensed milk.  Was going to make Red, white and blue jigglers but time got away from me.  I just made coffee custard the other day...although when I froze it, it became more icy rather creamy.  So, I turned it into iced coffee with home-made ganache sauce atop.

I have heard of this before but have never tried it.  It sounds really easy, bet it would be really good with fresh strawberries in it.

It sounds really good.  It would be more like eating homemade ice cream and should be better then the store bought with all of those preservtes in it. I am going to try it. I like choc and hubby likes vanilla. So will make both.
