Do you do the grocery shopping in your home?

Love the sense of humor....I thought the same thing when I first read the subject.  I do almost all of the shopping in our family because my husband gets too depressed by the cost of food....I on the other hand, have given up having heart attacks in the checkout line and just....write...the check.  I always said if I could stay out of the grocery store, we would be wealthy people.

I am a secret/mystery shopper so I do almost all of our shopping.  I get paid to shop, I get reimbursed  up to a certain amount ($5 to $40) at different stores, so basically I get free groceries and paid to shop too!

I try to do all of the shopping but my family still breaks away to buy junk food. I aim at mapping out what I will cook for two weeks at a time so that I can minimize cost and daily time wasted on figuring out what to do for dinner. I usually pick up five dozen eggs for breakfast, ten pounds of chicken and a couple of pounds of fresh fish. I aim to go to Costco every two weeks and pick up bulk items, dried and frozen goods.  Once a week I supplement this with a visit to the local grocery market for fresher items. I actually have fun doing this and seeing how inexpensively I can feed my family while, at the same time, providing them with an abundance of fresh, healthy meals. Pasta goes a long way and is so inexpensive and easy to cook.

I used to do all of the grocery shopping but here lately my husband has been doing a lot of it. Only thing I don't like about that is he isn't as good as saving money and couponing like I am. Lol.

I do most of the shopping in my home, though my sister will go to specialty stores that are close to her work.

My daughter does most of the shopping. She has her son so the responsibilities  lies primarily on her.

I prefer to do the grocery shopping myself for our house so I can get whatever necessary for cooking at home.

Since I'm the one that not only works in a grocery store but also plans and makes meals I do most of the shopping as well. My husband is great in stocking the house with tp, papertowels and sprite (or whatever drink he's in the mood for) I on the other hand turn grocery shopping into a game and try and get the best deals so kinda control the whole food part of shopping.  I don't think anyone minds though.

I'm the list maker and coupon holder, haha. I try to keep on top of what we need and budget correctly, find a good deal, etc. But the three of us (my sister, partner, and I) all walk out together to Kroger (about twenty minutes there and back, so a short workout!). Every once in a while we make a pit stop at Martin's, too, to get what they didn't have at Kroger. The grocery shopping perils of being vegan! Lol
