Which online store do you like better? I'll say eBay for now.

I never used Etsy. I only used eBay. So I guess I'll stick with eBay.

Like others here, I prefer eBay to Etsy. It has a wider selection and often the better deals. However, Etsy has an interesting collection of clever, artsy items which I enjoy browsing. Sometimes I will make purchases there if something really catches my eye.

I think I was into homemade crafts, I would use Etsy.  But I'm not and I've found tons on deals on Ebay over the years.

If I'm looking for hand-made goods, then etsy. I don't often look for those kinds of items. I shop mostly on Amazon. I also look for items on Tripleclicks which has a lot of unique items.

I've been a member of eBay for 10 years. I've gotten a lot of things on there but stayed away for a few years when income was down...going back was a bit of shock. Things have changed and I noticed prices are mostly on the level as other places if you're looking for new.

I've also noticed that things aren't selling as well as they used to a couple years ago. I've watched an item be relisted for over a month and no bites yet...and it's an antique item that should have sold the first time for a nice amount.  It used to be hot and heavy bidding on rare genealogy surname books or county books, but there are a few that now sell combo CDs with that info and more so the "just bio" books aren't selling well. That's sad.  :sad1:

I've used both sites, but I find more things on eBay that I absolutely have to have.

I find Etsy useful only for artsy crafty type things like knitting and crochet patterns or nice homemade gifts. EBay is way more useful because you can hunt for just about anything at all on that site. So I use eBay a lot more than Etsy.

I like eBay, because there is just such a large selection of items available.

I have never shopped on etsy before.

From the posts in here, Etsy sounds like a great place for crafty or homemade items
