Question on Survey Denials
« on: June 05, 2016, 11:43:27 pm »
So I was hoping to stay OVER $30 for this last cashout and REALLY counting on the money to come through. Then I go check my account, and it's below $30. So I sacn through and see one of the ones that was just over $1.00 had been denied.

I don't get it. I know that one was a really long one and I kept tabs on my time, answered honestly and I remember I even had to get up at one point to get something for my dad, but came back to it.

I have 2 on mine now that say DENIED on them, the first one I just now noticed after the second one came back.

I did file a help ticket already to find out what is going on as I just don't think this is right.

So my question is this: Why would the survey be APPROVED before the cashout and then DENIED while it is still pending?

It would make more sense for it to be denied BEFORE the cashout!!

Sometimes the market research companies check the data after all the surveys have been completed. They might deny credit for a number of reasons, even for completing a survey too quickly/slowly.  The denied credit doesn't happen earlier because when a person completes a survey, the system automatically registers as completed, and FC shows as "approved". But the truth is, the market research company can deny the survey answers & payment afterwards.

Save yourself a lot of anguish and just accept whatever decisions they make. There apparently is no rhyme or reason to them.

Survey sites either allow surveys to instantly credit with the risk of them being denied later or have delayed credit until they make sure the market research company is going to pay for that data. I'm member of sites that do it both ways and I prefer the instant credit.

Some survey require more participants or demographic groups than others so they may run longer so it would take longer for the market research company to decide that their was an issue with your data.  It could be too far from their average time(faster or slower), inconsistent information or failure to complete additional steps. Sometimes it just seems to be random but I just move on and complete more surveys.

What ladavia89 said is correct.  Just wanted to add that, if you find yourself getting more than the occasional denial, you might have a something incorrect in one or more of your profile surveys (go check them carefully) or you might not be paying enough attention to your answers.  Another common issue is that folks will change their answers depending on what they think the survey is looking for - if you do that, you should expect lots of reversals since survey providers will find your data unreliable and be forced to throw the results out.

Thanks for the information. Just seems odd that they wait until AFTER it says Approved to go back and say oh wait, this won't do. BYE!! >.<

Seems like a bit of a waste on both us and those providing the surveys. I only change my answers when I click on the wrong thing while still on the page. Sometimes my touchpad doesn't move right when I click on something and changes the answer for me!!

I think I need to change my settings.

How do I find the profile surveys so as to update? A lot has changed in my life since I joined FC and answered the profile surveys.
