No I generally do not, sometimes when I am on travel I may until I get back home especially if I used credit card just to reconciled and make sure of all the charges, then I shred.

I always keep receipts on major purchases. You never know when you'll need to return something. I usually don't bother to keep grocery receipts unless they have a coupon on them or I am trying to reel in my budget.

There is an app that will actually pay you to scan them. It's not much...I think I've been on it 6 months and have made $30.

There are actually several of them.  I use three different receipt scanning apps regularly - two of them for about three years and have earned $250 and $110; and one other that I just began using this past January and have earned $75.

Somewhere, somebody is tracking my purchases and spending habits.  Do I care? No. I've been paid back over $400 for it.

Saving receipts is such a waste of time and money. I can't believe some people do it.

I never save grocery receipts. I guess if I was on a strict budget then I would save receipts and see how I'm spending (or wasting money). :o

Would you care to elaborate on this comment, patapon?  I can see it being a waste of time (or at least a time consuming activity of sorts), but how is saving receipts a waste of money?  It doesn't cost anything to do as far as I can figure...

I only save grocery receipts if I'm using them for tax purposes.  I've recently started doing some side baking stuff and just in case I need to include it as income for next years taxes I wanna be sure I know exactly what I've spent.

I don't save my receipts, but before I throw thing away I have an app on my phone called receipt hog.  The only thing I have to do is take a picture of my receipt and it uploads to the site.  I earn points which eventually I can redeem for cash.
