Soap

So...this is is a bit ironic, but if soap is supposed to make us clean, why does it get so dirty if left out for a while, etc?

I meant to also add...do people have a preference for type/brand?

Bahahaha I know what you mean... some soaps "hold" grime.  But I've only noticed that after someone who's been working on lawn mowers or car engines.  I think it's just the grease clingy to the bar.   I prefer dove.  Years ago I was diagnosed with Eczema and the dermatologist told my Mom to start using it on me.  Ever since then Dove has been my brand of choice.

Stuff sticks to it!

I don't use bar soap. I like shower washes like Dove moisturizer. Of course most soaps actually strip your skin of what it needs to be healthy, but I am a sucker and go for the one that smells good, lol.

If your soap is getting dirty your leaving it settle in the wrong place.  I use a soap dish .  This helps the soap dry and does not stay smushy

Because it has fat in it and I would prefer Irish Springs.

Try changing your soap, or use a special cleanser for the oil or grease you're handling.
