Goodness! That is indeed incredible. Do you know I heard the other day that we all have cancer lurking in our bodies, but our immune system continuously fights off the bad stuff and so we continue to live on, healthy and fighting fit! But then occasionally, when our soldiers (immune system) are not at their best, we end up getting cancer, and it got me thinking. If our immune system can fight off cancer before we 'get' cancer, why does our body find it harder to fight cancer once we have it. Presumably it's because our 'soldiers' are worn out and tired and they need extra help. Perhaps that's where immunotherapy comes in?
