I don't make friends easy because there is always a lie that is lingering between the individuals.  People can not be true friends.  I learned that the hard way.

Making friends was much simpler when we were in elementary school; you'd go up to a girl (or she'd come up to you) and say hey, let's be friends. You'd both smile and skip off together. Now you have to be aware of incompatible mindsets, jealousy, and ulterior motives.  I still have hope though, everyone can't be bad right? lol :)

It seems as you get older it is harder to make friends. Everyone has their own life with their own group of friends and many people are not looking for new ones. It was much easier to make friends when we were younger.

I think it's hard to remember all the friends you've had in the past.  Some are easier to remember than others cause they stand out in your mind.  To be honest I really don't remember many of the friends I've had in the past so I guess I'm just getting old.

Some of the friends from the past don't even recognize you.

I would like to make some new friends. I moved to a new city a year and a half ago, but haven't met too many people. It is hard to meet people when you are a single mom and can't really get out much. Most people already have their own circle too, by my age, so they are not really looking to meet new people. Everyone is busy with work and family.
