Pollen
« on: March 27, 2016, 04:03:38 pm »
I'm live down south, about 75 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and the pollen is so bad here that my black Pathfinder looked like someone painted it green. Also, my husband and I are sick and I know exactly why. POLLEN !!

Thank God that I don't have the allergies but I will be glad when the stuff goes away or die down just a little.  Rain does help for a little while.

Thankfully my Pathfinder is green!  It kind of blends in.  I live on the coast in SC and the pollen has beaten me up for as long as I can remember.  Two years ago I started taking a whole food supplement and I haven't had any issues with allergies since.  Pollen is everywhere here and I am happy to say that it hasn't effected me at all.

I am also an enemy of pollen although for an entirely different reason. My son suffers from seasonal allergies (we are currently going through the process of getting him allergy tested) which gets so bad, it starts to trigger his asthma symptoms. Last year this reached a stage where he had to take a steroid inhaler every day for 3 months in order to reverse the inflammation in his lungs which had been caused by the asthma. I live in Idaho which is notorious for the dry conditions.

I am not looking forward to my allergies kicking up a notch. Maybe I'll be lucky this year.

I am fighting them right now, it seems like for the next few months though I am going to miserable. If all of the trees would bloom at the same time it would help, and then of course the mold is awful right now. Not only do my eyes itch and burn, my cough is awful, the sneezing is constant and a sore throat with drainage.  I am so tried of it all already.

That is one thing that I don't like about spring is the pollen. It makes me sneeze, my throat itch, then my ear, and sometimes watery eyes.

I love Spring..... but I agree pollen is really thick in my area too.  The pollen also makes my car look green and dusty.  We had rain this week so hopefully it washed some of the pollen away.   :)
