My body can definitely feel a difference when we go to Daylight Saving Time.  I always miss that extra hour and by the time my body adjust to Daylight Saving Time it's time to change back to regular time.  I could do without the time change.   :)

2. It gives an unfair advantage to anyone who stays up late.

Please do tell what advantage people who stay up late get with an extra hour of sunlight at night? Now explain how this unfair.
Unfair advantage

The hour of daylight added to the night is the same hour of daylight taken away from the morning, and that forces early risers to have to wake up to a darker sky and possibly feel cranky as well. People I know of who like or love DST do not respect people who have to wake up early.

Not seeing how that translates to an advantage. I'm an early riser and like DST.  I'd much rather have that extra hour of sunlight be in the evening when I'm not at work and can enjoy it.

I was wondering the same thing...I don't see it as an advantage to night people at all, especially when you spring forward...everyone should enjoy the extra equally...and as stated above, I would rather have the light later in the day when I can enjoy it....

I think DST is stupid. I started to hate it even more when Congress made it 4 weeks longer. Here's why I can't stand Daylight Saving Time:

1. It doesn't save energy.
2. It gives an unfair advantage to anyone who stays up late.
3. It screws up length of days. Every day should be 24 hours long. We don't need a 23-hour day to begin DST and then a 25-hour day to make up.
4. It steals an hour of sleep from people that should never be stolen.
5. Anybody who forgets to set his or her clock(s) ahead for DST and has a job on Sunday could wind up being 1 hour late for work.

Now tell me your opinion and explain why.

Not sure if I agree with these points...except for the last one, which I have definitely had happen before...the hour evens out, just maybe not when we want it....I can't comment on the energy part, though I would think it does help a little in that regard....

As someone who is involved with the sport of baseball, it's nice to have longer days in the afternoon/evening so that teams can play on fields without lights....therefore, even though I hate losing the hour, I like the spring because it means more light in the evening...on the contrary, as much as I like the extra hour, I dislike losing the evening hours...

regardless of whether we change the ties or not, the days are going to get shorter and longer...the DST process just expedites it...I actually wish they would start it a little earlier in the spring and maybe change it a little later in the winter...

In short, as much as losing/gaining the hour can be a little cumbersome, I understand why it's done.

That's because as I said, DST steals an hour of sleep from us.

When I lived in an area where it was prevalent, I thought it was ok because at least it didn't get dark as quickly but, now that I live in the Southwest where it doesn't apply, well I really don't care!!

You're talking silly. You should enjoy daylight while at work so you don't think about stress and then unwind when it's darker.

No, you're talking silly. I enjoy daylight by actually going outside and doing stuff. I can't do that if I'm at work. I couldn't care less how it is outside when I'm at work.

I hate it, 'cause I have a hard time sleeping as it is. Now you're taking another hour from me! So if I can't fall asleep, and I'm only getting 7ish hours sleep, now I'm getting around 6!

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

like it when you get an extra hour of sleep but don't like losing an hour of sleep.

Since I don't go into work till 1 pm today it has not affected me.  I wish they would leave it alone and keep it the same time all the time.  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)
