What role does tv play in your life? I have to say I love watching tv. Now that I am older and watching my budget I do not go out as often, so I watch tv a lot.

I limit my TV time because there are better things I can be doing with my time. I could probably watch TV for hours on end, but know it's not the best use of my time especially since I'm not where I want to be financially in life.

I usually watch a movie at night (or a couple of shows), then if I am not too tired I catch part of the News.

People who work like to think that stay at home moms have all the time in the world to watch tv, but anyone who is a stay at home mom knows that that is far from the truth. I rarely have a moment to watch tv during the day. I have a few hours in the morning while the kids are still sleeping. But of course I'm watching a show that has been previously recorded and doing surveys or something on the computer at the same time. The rest of the day goes towards playing with the kids and keeping the house clean. When my husband gets home, we'll watch the news together and maybe a show or movie depending on the day of the week.

Our TV is on from the time we get up to the time we go to bed.  Not that it is watched all that time but it does supply noise for a quiet household.
Have a wonderful day!

We watch a lot of tv here. It may be on but not always watched. I do have to catch up on General Hospital daily.

the only "tv time" I usually get is between the hours of 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and that is usually more than enough

I love to watch TV, I record most of the shows and watch them while I am doing laundry.  We have 5 TVs at home and my girls keep their's on 24/7 they even sleep with the TV on, they might not watch but they are on

I really don't watch a lot of TV at all.  I enjoy my soap (which I record and watch at night), and MAYBE one or two shows that are on once a week.  I never watch TV on the weekends.  Otherwise, to be truthful with you, I could live without TV.  I hate how many commercial breaks there are every two minutes, and worse, the CHANNELS are now showing half-hour to hour commercials for products.  I can't believe how many channels are just for commercials.  For the amount of money we pay, it's ridiculous.

I have a few favorites I watch every week.  I have the TV on most of the time while I do other, more productive things.

Practically the only role TV plays in my life is to inform me of the current news, both national and international. I start each evening at 5 with the BBC Evening News, then move on to my state's news program, then NYC news, then national news, and lastly the PBS Newshour. I only watch a few other programs just for fun like Madame Secretary, The Good Wife, and Downton Abbey.

I like to watch informational and educational channels...and listen to the music channels.
