weird questions to disqualifications
« on: March 04, 2016, 08:16:56 am »
I was just asked how often I bathe in Ketchup.. I put "Never" and was immediately disqualified... I wonder if I said "once a week", if I would have been put through lol

Haha...I guess they were looking for people who do that kind of stuff!!  I do wonder if you put yes if you would have been able to complete it.  Funny!!

Those questions are to weed out bots and or other fakes. A bot would have probably answered yes to some of these questions that seem insane. It is a test of sorts and when you answer no, it proves that you are a real person.

I have often wondered what would happen if I answered yes to some of these questions that are ludicrous but it could get you banned because the computer would think you were a bot.

Those crazy questions in the surveys make me laugh. It's worth it just for that.  ;)

Haha! That's pretty funny. I do/try a lot of surveys and I have never seen that question. Funny.

LOL, those "funny" questions are just there to make sure you're paying attention.  If you were DQ'ed, I'm pretty sure it wasn't because of that question.

I have been asked the one about having ever eating a watermelon whole, I  am not sure what the rationale is  for these questions, perhaps to see if we are really paying attention to what we read.

It's not a disqualification, unless you try to count it as one of your monthly posts, as in if you had 30 posts and 3 were stupid jokes, then you now have "27" posts for the month. It won't count if you get to 30 and have a bunch of joke posts. Like they say, just have a post that offers insight or discuss whatever. I just come in and chat twice a day like they say.

The ketchup question is to test you're not a bot. But are you sure the ketchup question was the one that disqualified you? Lots of surveys ask a whole bunch of questions even after the respondent does not qualify and it could be another previous demographic question that did it.

I've been asked how many times I had a "fatal" heart attack.   Another one was how many trips to the moon have I taken.  I like those questions, makes me smile.

Some of those are ridiculous. I was asked my age even though there was no limit on age. I was disqualified.

I think they do things like that to see if you are paying attention or just clicking. I have had some funny questions before too.

What I don't understand is how you get through and pass all the disqualification questions, be allowed to complete the survey, but then, after completing the survey, you're told you can't get paid for a survey you completed, I decided to just stop doing the surveys after it happened more than three or four times.
