Change of last name

Hi everyone

I was just wondering, I can't encash my check coz my IDs are still showing my maiden name. We didn't go to the bank though, its just the counter at the supermarket. We are advised to try going to my husband's bank.

Can I change my name to my maiden name so that future checks will be showing it?

you should try cashing your check at a gas station or walgreens  or maybe even the liquor store they take your picture  so they know its you cashing the check

You can't just change your name on here without proof of new identification. You really should get your identification in your new legal name in general

It is so much easier to get a paypal account if you can. But yes, you still have to get you papers in order to get your name straight everywhere. But it really is easier to have the money sent there and transfer it to the bank.

I have a paypal account but I don't have bank account yet so my paypal is not yet verified. I just moved here from the Philippines 7 months ago, I am still waiting for my greencard.

I wonder if maybe my husband can add me to his bank account...

In order to be paid on here, the account(paypal or bank) would have to be in the name you provided to the site when you registered. I believe there are certain reloadable cards that would work on here for direct deposit
