They don't need to take them down. The forum bonus is for contributory posts only. People enjoy the games in the word chains and countdowns but that's mainly very short things or copying and pasting. The contest and promotions board includes the two weekly promotions which is easy extra money, payment pictures and any other special promotions like post mania. They have a purpose without them counting towards the bonus

mole, the forum bonus is one that you have to request separate and apart from cashing out.  If you click the "Paid to Post" tab at the top of the forum pages, it gives you all the details and the process for requesting a forum bonus payment.  It is then added to your account balance as a bonus and will be included in your overall total toward your next cash out.
