Gold Bond makes a new lotion for dry healing skin.   Aging skin also.   I think it works great .  NOt greasy.  absorbs right in

I use coconut oil.
Garden of Life is the brand I trust for the best quality.
Years ago I tried Gold Bond and that burned.
I see others here have recommended it.
Sometimes, you just have to try a few for yourself.

I also have neem oil on hand.

I have a few I rely on depending on how irritated my skin is.  Gold bond is probably my favorite when eczema is already starting to erupt. I also like Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Essential Healing Lotion (I find this great and softer on my budget for my feet during winter months) As a child my eczema was out of control.  A dermatologist prescribed something in a jar that smelled like tar.  My mother went through 1 jar 1/2 of it to get my skin under control. Doc said when we ran out of that just use hydro-cortisone cream (not the jelly but the white cream.  I was around 12-13 years old than. Oh also; I was told to avoid lanolin in everything!

This conversation is perfect for this time of year. I've been using Ulta's moisture-intense body butter. It's with shea butter and sweet almond oil and it's working for my hands and feet.

I am currently using a cocoa butter lotion by Queen Helene. It was a big bottle for like $2.00  It is better than some I've tried but I've never found a lotion I actually love.

To me the best lotion for dry skin is Aveeno. I like it because it is good for my skin. I use it at night because I go to bed.

Since I only use extra virgin coconut oil on my face; I of course use it also for my dry skin.  It is kinda' pricey but well worth it!

About 45 years ago I had a case of eczema on my eyelids. Had just had a baby, and went to the doctor to see if what I had was infections. Fortunately not.

The doctor suggested Eucerin, which at that time only came in the heavy cream form.  I was told my dry skin was the root cause.

It cleared up my problem so quickly, and I still use it today. I don't need lotion in the warm weather. When it starts to get chilly, my skin gets very dry.

I love this stuff, have a jar right at my elbow here. Sometimes I use body lotions and creams, but many I am allergic to. Not so with Eucerin.  And, it is odor-free, if allergic to scents, or someone wants to use it without smelling like a flower or coconut :)

I especially use it on my face. It has kept my skin in good shape for many years.

I use Cetaphil, or the Walmart brand of it. It's not cheap, but definitely worth the money. It's unscented and doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy at all. It says you can use it often during the day, but I actually only need to use it once and my skin is good for the rest of the day!
