we survived another year granddaughter is now 14 months old her mom still locked up guess she gonna be there forever my granddaughter calls me mommom i tell her grandmom but dont think she understand right now she dont even get to see her mom   hasnt for 6 months and have 6 to go she got in trouble again, come to conclusion she dont want to come home so guess im raising my granddaughter ,her brothers still live with dad he having time with my 12 yr old grandson in school says he about to give up i told him i will take him back just bring him

They need some stability and to know that what ever they do you will be there for them.   Too bad the mama did not get that message through her head.  Poor babies.  Sounds like Grandma you are going to have to be the unconditional love and support for the kids.  If you need help, you need to get it now for the 12 year old before it is to late.  LOVE can cure a lot of problems.  Tough love may be needed for the older kids for the time being.  You have to let them know and believe that whatever happens you will be there for them, always.

i`m doing my best to show them we are here even though their father is putting all kinds things in their head right now je has 12 yr old convinced if he does good this year he will let him come home to us i think it load of bull he will lose the assistance he gets for them he stays home watches his two young daughters and does not work

my friend who is 58 is raising her 11yr and 5yr old grandkids their mom is in jail also.the dad is just not around much. You guys are amazing to take on that responsibility. She has had it hard  on section8 housing had to move out of her area to a strange town think she likes it ok  it was snowing something new for her living in Ca. bay area .best to you and kids.
