I feel sure we will not have enough money to retire on. Goodness, we only just got a mortgage in the last 2 years and my husband retires in 12 years. My saving grace is that we signed onto a 15 year mortgage which, whilst expensive, will be paid for in the next 13 years. I'm not quite sure what we will do in the last year after my husband's current job finishes but before our mortgage is paid off. But, with interest rates on 15 year loans so inexpensive, we would have been silly not to take advantage of this deal.

According to the experts no I'm way behind.  I don't have a million saved already however I refuse to work until I drop dead.

Oh boy, retirement isn't going to be an option for my generation, lol. I don't dare tell that to anybody in my family though.

my husband is getting disability and I don't work except for surveys etc. We went to 3 different food banks where one person has to be 65 and my husband is. So now we get food they really don't ask for income you just have to be 65 or older. This is calif not sure about other states.Enough money in retirement not sure.Refinanced our house so that took off 95.00 a month  anything seems to help.If you have a 401k i'd put money into that.

I hope I have enough. I have been saving since college and am in my late 20s. Had some setbacks that prevented me from putting as much away this past year, but overall, am doing what I can...I sure hope that stat about the US and savings rates is wrong, but I doubt that's the case...

Well If you own your home that is a biggy. I have enough room to save hoard other things and not money.  ::) My sister passed away and saved money in a whole life insurance and all that time was only 5000.00 (this amount isn't small, but the account is like over 40 years old) she did not get to use it because she passed away before getting in senior living. Yup I need your prayers and I do my fusioncash with the hope that our fusioncash don't close anymore.

I have been saving most of my life and now am 3 to 5 years away from retirement.  I've done pretty good, I just wish the stock market was cooperating more.

I am not sure. I think about it a lot especially now because I am in the mid 40's. I don't want to end working after my retirement.

With the high cost of living in this world, I live day by day.

According to the experts...no.  I believe God will provide,  just like he always has.  I'm a very frugal person and have a very do-able retirement plan.  I do plan to retire from my primary job early.  Looking forward to retirement & doing more of the things I want to do.
