Credit cards
« on: December 21, 2015, 01:56:57 pm »
How many credit cards have you signed up for this holiday season. Every time I go to the store, I am asked to sign up for a card and I gave in to one card because I got such a great deal whether I was approved or denied for the card.

I haven't signed up for any new credit cards, and to be honest, I would be skeptical about anything which appeared so good that you felt it necessary to sign on the dotted line immediately. Make sure to check on the APR (Annual Percentage Rate) and don't forget, I believe there is a cooling off period where you have the right to change your mind, no questions ask. This is the case with all financial agreements, I think, but don't quote me.

I have 2 these days. Both are rewards cards. I wont use my debit card anywhere because so many people I know have had them stolen and they are linked to checking accounts. I dont sign up for store cards.

I have not signed up for any credit cards. But if I do I'd probably sign up for the one offered by swagbucks since it can help build credit for those who never had a credit history.

I am careful with how many credit cards I have.  I don't usually accept the stores offers.

I don't sign up for store credit cards if I don't shop there a lot.

Scammers keep calling me...and I ignore all of them! You apply for one of those "credit cards" and get denied. They are not credit cards any more with a line of credit. Now, they use the VISA or MasterCharge logo and add a DEBIT word with the logo. You have to make a deposit and only purchase for the amount of the deposit.
