what do you all think of sex before marrige ok? or no bueno

This is a good topic. I saw a program on television a few days ago and was alarmed at the percentage of teens who ADMITED they were sexually active. That percentage was in the low 50%, can you imagine the REAL number! I made the choice to wait to have sex until marriage and do not regret it. I think this world has become too laxed though. Every time I turn on the tube I see half naked women throwing themselves at men. The programs these days seem to be telling our children to do it now with whomever they wish and there will be no consequences. My child and I regularly discuss sex. We discuss the pros and cons, but most importantly we discuss the importance of protection. I am confident that when my child decides to have sex for the first time he will be informed and act responsibly. i hope he will wait until marriage, but I will not condemn him if he does not. I will demand that he use protection, not only for himself, but for his partner.

Well i think its ok in this generation. I know that i want know that i can connect with the person that i am with. I like to have sex so if i got married and it wasnt working i dont think the marriage would last.

Gender has alot to do with this discourse. Females would be more predisposed to wait for marriage or some kind of assurance before handing out their treasure. On the other hand, males instant gratification counters pride if any. I think in this present age, a couple truly in love should suffice. Someone once said only sex in an act of procreation is not sin. I guess discrimination should conquer lust.

i am torn on this issue...for me .. i would wait..but if right girl came along and we were together while and it just happened.. i would not mine

I had sex before marriage...and am still married to him 13 years later...no problem with it!
