He was on Dr Oz talking about his situation.  Yes it's true.  I can't believe even he would lie about such a thing and cause so much grief.

I believe it is true. I hate it for anyone diagnosed but I do believe he is being honest

I would find it hard not to be true...would be terrible, and stupid, to lie about something like that...I haven't really been following the story, so not sure how it came about...

He has nothing to gain by lying about it.  Apparently there was some note about it in the Sony email hack.  And the National Enquirer wouldn't spend 18 months on this if they didn't think there was anything there.

Magic Johnson has had HIV for a very long time.
If you have the money you can continue to live a somewhat "normal" life.
It's no longer a death sentence.  It's unfortunate for the people he was intimate with & didn't tell, that is the part that is completely unethical.

I love Charlie and hope for the best for him. I hate to hear these results since I had friend die from aids.

This could also explain his self-destructive behaviour over the years because he has this. It almost seems like we wanted to die rather than deal with it.
