Difficulties with Learning to Drive

How hard was it for you to find someone to teach you to drive? How about passing the road test?

My dad taught me how to drive. He took me to a vacant parking lot and taught me there. I also took drivers ed, which helped.

I never had any problems getting my first license. Everything went just fine like I expected.

I don't think we need a talent to drive. The more you hit on the road the more easier you'll get. Just remember safety first, keep a distance to other car, wear safety belt and don't drive fast

It is hard for me to get my road test also but got already a learners permit though. I relocated here 4 years ago from Asia and I don't  drive there, now every time I practice my legs are froze and need more confidence. Just praying that before my learners permit expired, I can get my road test.

I learned out on my uncles farm. I drove a tractor, a truck and a combine before getting my license , in fact I drove the grain truck to town. We lived in a rural area. Had my drives license at 14. Then I had to haul my brother and sister to all of their school functions. Did not leave much time for me or mine. But I got by. I am now 72 and never had a ticket of any kind.

My dad had let me drive in empty parking lots before I was 16. I started driver's ed on my 16th birthday and passed the written but needed more practice for the driving exam. After that I got my license.

I took a one week driving course that substituted the written test, so all I had to take was the driving test. My instructors took me right out on the highway so it was easy to get the feel for it. When my mom had tried to teach me years before that, she didn't do such a great job and I ended up side-swiping a car. Oops!

Learning how to drive is a piece of cake.  I actually learned how to drive using a 5 speed so I was learning to use a clutch, as well.  Driving an automatic is even easier.  When you take the class you'll find that a lot of it makes common sense.  Keep in mind that safety is always a priority.  Also, drive with someone else in the passenger seat who is kind and patient in the beginning.

Have a great day!

Super easy for me.  My Dad took me out when I was 13.  He had just been diagnosed with Cancer and wanted me to know how to drive in case of an emergency.  I remember he let me go up to 30 mph and around a slight curve.  After he passed I realized he wanted to be the one to have taught me... he had passed before I turned 16 and never saw me get my license.

I'm trying to get through a class so I can get my license. My poor concentration. But I can't wait to finally get on the road.
