Have you ever owned one or ridden on one?  When I was in my teens I did ride on one.  One of my friends had one and would take me for rides. I hate seeing one when we are on the highways. They can be going 50 to 60 miles with no helmets.

Rode on twice first and last time.  A friend wanted me to go with him to the big city and drive his car back. Well we got over there and it was not finished so rode the bike back. My hip and back hurt so darn bad. And it was only 120 miles. Not for me.  Also the ex bought one for my youngest son whom I did not want to have one in the city. I spent half of my time sabotaging the darn thing and he spent half the time when there was time getting it to run. He never knew what I was doing. Between his schooling and his working he did not have much time. Mothers can be sneaky.

I have never owned a motorcycle but have ridden behind someone driving one before many many years ago. I think anybody riding a motorcycle without a helmet on is crazy. My nephew got into a terrible accident when he was driving a motorcycle. Thank goodness he had a helmet on, but now he lives with a pin in his leg.

Back in the day I had a bike and I drove it to work and around the county.  I always wore a helmet which ruined my hair. One day, I laid it down on the gravel and burned my leg on the exhaust pipe and got some stones in my leg.  After that, we tore it apart and made a go-cart for my nieces....four wheels instead of two, is always safer.

Never drove one, but I have ridden on an awesome Fat Boy Harley.  My son is very big on motorcycles.  He and his friends are "stunt riders" and every weekend they go out and learn/practice their "tricks."  They even put on a show at one of the Raceways here.  My son has been scaring the cr*p out of me since he was 6 years old!  He learned to ride a two-wheeler when he was 4 and he's been riding ever since.  I can say, through my own experience with my kid, that he's been the perpetual "stunt rider" since he was just a tot!  Wish I could figure out how to attach a photo to my posts, your jaws would drop, LOL.

My dad started with a Cushman MotorScooter and taught me to drive it, but being a leftie, I used to mix up the gas and brakes, so I gave up on that.

But dad soon moved to Harley hogs and I used to ride everywhere with him and go on poker runs. He and some friends started the first motorcycle club in the county. I also rode on the other guys in the club and we would go as far as 100 miles. I loved it.

MY husband and I used to ride when he got his motorcycle, too. But that was the time when Hell's Angels and the other groups were trying to infiltrate a lot of towns. Hubby had the Iron Cross mirrors and peace sign brak light and used to ride in a sleeveless black shirt, so many times he's be stopped by the cops. He finally gave up and sold the bike. LOL

We haven't ridden for 20 years now and I miss it so much.

I have not ridden on a motorcycle. When I was young my next door neighbor lost his leg in a motorcycle accident and I never had the urge to ride one since.

Without wanting to shock anyone, the last time I sat on the back of my husbands motorcycle was when I was pregnant! Why did I do that? I hear you ask. Well, I didn't know I was pregnant! Two days after a hair-raising trip down a country lane I found out I was pregnant. That was 11 years ago now and I have two wonderful sons, 9 and 11.

Have you ever owned one or ridden on one?

I have owned, ridden, raced and sold dozens of them when I was much younger, but when I started having kids I set aside foolish things and accepted my responsibilities like a man. My dad raced cars and left a 21 year old wife that never had a job in her life, with three kids under three years old and no insurance. He thought he was just having fun and ended up smashing his head between the cowling and the track in his roadster. I vowed that would not be me and now my kids are all grown, but I never went back.

Rode on one many years ago with a family member...on a side road, slower speed....was a lot of fun, but don't know if I would ever do it on a highway or with someone else....or if I would ever own one.

I love motorcycles, have had several, and will only live in states where there are no helmet requirements. I do not like wearing helmets and I don't think that regulations should infringe on those who want the freedom of choice. I have had the fastest production motorcycles made and am currently driving, sadly, one of the slowest...a scooter! The price a parent pays for giving every cent they earn to the kid's school fund and taxes. It is still fun to ride but only gets up to about fifty two miles per hour which barely exceeds the speed limit on my four mile drive to work. It gets one hundred miles to the gallon, requires no insurance or registration and still allows me to feel the wind in my hair.  Kind of funny, though, that even if I am going ten MPH over the posted limit people feel compelled to be in front of me.
