blocking the aisles

In this line of thought are people that seem to naturally gravitate to the smallest pathways, hang around at the top of escalators/inside doorways, or are looking at the ceiling as they wheel around grocery stores. I guarantee that if there is a display in the middle of an aisle, someone will park their cart right next to it so that no one can get through. I have my children on the lookout for it.  I have thought about taking pictures and starting a website devoted to the lack of brain cells in today's society-featuring shopping cart placement, inopportune gathering places, and those that walk around with their eyes cast skyward. I think that it goes without saying that there could be a whole site devoted to people that think they can talk on their cell phones and function.

It is frustrating when people stand in the middle of the isle and you stand right behind them and finally have to say excuse me can I get through for them to realize they are standing in the middle of the isle, what is wrong with some people.

I love to go to Dollar General but they are the worst store to try and get down the aisles. Always pallets sitting everywhere.

There's a grocery store in town (the only one) that the seniors shop at because they can walk to the store and don't need to find a way to the out of town stores. This is a smaller grocery store with aisles wide enough for 2 carts BUT the store blocks the aisles with "specials" every couple feet so it's impossible to have two carts in the same aisle at the same time without weaving in an out of the specials.

Then there are the younger people who are always in a rush and almost push their way past you because they need their soda and snacks, and the young mothers who haven't seen each other in a couple days who stop in the middle of the aisle to chat and never move even if you say "excuse me" with a smile on your face, just give you a dirty look.

Pure ignorance. I don't shop that store much any more. i can still get out of town to the larger stores with the wide aisles and nothing extra in them, and more selection anyway without running out.
