Do you donate anything to the salvation army?

Yes I do. I round up toys and when I get a pile than I call them. I gather clothes too.

Two years ago my wife and I donated a car. Usually we donate old clothes and shoes.

I try to donate to the Salvation Army when I donate.
Last time I put some stuff out, a lot of stuff, some other charity company drove by & took it.
When the Salvation Army finally did come by, they stated that happens frequently, other charities drive by & take it.   It was my fault as I didn't mark it for Salvation Army.

I like the Salvation Army, plus they were the only ones not so picky with furniture and old televisions.

My family donates regularly - whenever we are re-organizing.  We give clothing, housewares, toys, books, etc.

Yes, we drop our off at the closest drop off box in the area.

I donate to the Salvation Army around Christmas time in the red kettles.   During the year we have a Church ran thrift shop that I donate clothing and household items too.

That's a good thing you do. I've also done this in the past, it's time for me to go through my closet and see what else I can donate.

I have done it, but not very often, what I do if I see someone in need at my church. I make up a bad of good clothing that I or my daughter haven't worn for awhile then I give that to that person.

I used to donate clothing to the Salvation Army every year in December but I haven't done it in a few years now. I like to donate to them because you get two bangs for the buck - helping somebody less fortunate and getting a tax break too.

We do not have any where to donate items to the Salvation Army locally.  I use to donate to Goodwill until I found out that the CEO is one of the richest men in the country.  But why would he not be?  The managers of his stores make min wage and the other employees make less than min wage.  Everything he sells in his stores is given to him so he has no costs involved.  He rents dilapidated old buildings to sell the stuff out of and at least in our small town the prices are outrageous.  The cheapest you can get a pair of jeans is $5.  Why would you pay $5 for old worn out jeans when you can get new ones at Walmart for around $8.

I just donated about 12 bags of clothes but I have them to a family that I knew should be able to wear most of the stuff.  And if they have stuff in there they can't wear I told them to just pass it on.

I mainly donate clothing, toys, etc to Goodwill and YMCA.  Or sometimes I will sell items on a rummage sale and give the money to a charity.
