District 9 what are your thoughts

I recently went to the theater to see the movie District 9. Now I'm not here to bash the movie or any movie I watch, but I want to know what you think about the show, did it set off any bells, whistles, light bulbs, or give you that eureka moment? Did it touch a nerve on how we as the human race act towards one another or see one another? Did you like the movie, how it was filmed the story, what?

As for me, this film speaks volumes on how we as a civilization act towards one another throughout our history on this planet. What we don't understand we fear, lock up, imprison, or plain old try and exterminate. We use anyone to further our knowledge, and we keep to ourselves what we know and think only we can control. Although this movie starts out as a "humanitarian" saving or helping of an alien species, it turns into what the human race has done to its own people throughout history, the Spanish Inquisition, slavery, the Salem Witch Hunts, apartheid, the Jewish concentration camps, the American imprisonment of Germans and Japanese, you name it, this movie pulls from our history, maybe more on South Africa's more recent history but world history nonetheless.

So please tell me what you thought of this movie, share your thoughts whether good or bad, right or wrong, just want to know your views on this film.

I thought it was a great flim a bit slow at firt but as it went along i was impressed , i also thought it was a tad bit rasict seeing that why of all places South Africa , and the representation of the Aliens sorta reminded me of Hatian Refugees or any African American refugee , but either way there was a message at the end , and it got thru at least to me but maybe not others , i liked it

I'd like to hear what everyone thinks about it. If it's worth seeing or not. It's something that I've been wanting to see but haven't had a chance to yet.
