I usually just attempt the FC surveys because even if I don't qualify, I still get the penny. Every now and then I will attempt one of the daily ones if I'm not getting the daily minimum 5 cents. Since then, I've added to my balance and been credited a lot so in the end it balances out.

I feel the survey providers ought to "count you in" once you pass the screening and have been allowed to start.  They should either start a few more than they need or open it back up when people quit/loose internet etc and don't complete.  But it is extremely unfair and misleading to let you go all the way and be told sorry tough luck (and how do we really know they don't use our answers).  One of the reasons I really don't do surveys.

EXACTLY!
Been thinking that for awhile now.

I know how this experience really hurts. None of us like  Surveys that goes way beyond what they say it would, in terms of time, but then not to get credit. is a very awful feeling..... How is this suppose to make us excited about doing Surveys?

That is unacceptable and I understand how you feel. I do not mind taking a survey that last 30 or 35 minutes, but I do mind if I spend that much time on a survey and do not get compensated for my time.

I don't like surveys that take over 15 or 20 minutes but I really hate to do them, they have my answers and then I'm told I didn't qualify.  It is infuriating.

Although this topic has been brought up many times (too many to count), I just needed to voice my frustration. I've even given advice to others who get frustrated. Well, today it's my turn to vent. I just attempted a FC survey about grocery shopping. It was supposed to be about 40 minutes, so I knew that going in. However, this survey lasted at least an hour. It just kept going on and on. I finally get to the end and the survey was closed and I didn't get credit. Guess I took too long. That's an hour I can't get back. When they asked for comments, I even stated that while the survey was enjoyable, it was too long.
Ok, that's enough for now. On to the next one.

Completely understandable, and sometimes it just feels good to vent.  A survey that takes 40 minutes to an hour long would have to pay very well in order for me to even attempt it.

Right now I am waiting for a survey I completed through Your Surveys to credit.  It has been close to 36 hours and I submitted a ticket to Fusion.  I asked them to contact Your Surveys and find out what the issue is.  You know, the question becomes after awhile: How long would you work for an employer who doesn't give you your paycheck?  I notice there is a number of people who don't take surveys or only take them when they are not lengthy.  Surveyors may be biting themselves in the butt when they continue to do such things.

I would certainly feel the need to vent if that happened to me! I'd be pretty upset to have wasted all that time. There needs to be a cutoff, after which you are automatically qualified. It isn't right that the survey company gets all your information, and then decides not to credit you for it.

I have been there there before and am sure everyone else have had that experience at one time or another. I am hoping someday we can get credited back for our efforts. But, Keep on keeping good things come to those who have endured and never given up. Maybe not today or tomorrow but it will come.

AN FC survey, I love these survey complaints knowing that doing tasks in that time you would have made at least something good instead you wasted time and got nothing, nada, zilch 8)

Are there any certain tasks you are successful at?  I may try tasks again.   :-\

Sorry to hear that you had such an unprofitable experience, I've been there before and had quit surveys for a while because of it. I then profited from tasks, these days I do the shorter surveys and they seem to profit more often. You may want to try that, until then be encouraged.

If a survey states from the get-go that it will be 40 minutes, you can count on it taking over an hour. I run away from these as fast as I can.
